Yesterday (January 9), the official list of nominees for the 2014 BRIT Awards were announced and it was revealed that One Direction have been put up for two prizes. 

The heartthrobs have been nominated in the British Group category, for which they will battle against Bastille and Arctic Monkeys, and British Single for 'One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)'. 

Following the exciting news, member Louis Tomlinson has taken to his Twitter page to share his feelings about the nominations and told his 14.8 million followers: "Can't believe we have been nominated for TWO Brits!! Unbelievable :)"

Singer Harry Styles echoed the sentiment on his own social networking page and added that he's overwhelmed: "Thank you so much for the Brits nominations... Can't wait to put my finest gown on."

The 2014 BRIT Awards will take place on February 19 at London's O2 Arena.
