A preview clip of One Direction's upcoming appearance on Sesame Street has been uploaded online.

The lads recently visited the famous street to record a cameo for the iconic educational show.

A video has now been posted to the Sesame Street YouTube account of the lads reworking their hit song 'What Makes You Beautiful'.

Their new version focuses on the letter 'U' and the five singers are seen crowding around the letter.

Harry Styles can be heard singing in the track's pre-chorus: "26 letters are in the alphabet, but we're here to sing about 'U'."

The YouTube account meanwhile added a comment: "The letter nearest and dearest to One Direction's heart is U. U must feel so special!"

One Direction are currently taking a break from activities before they go on their Where We Are stadium world tour.

The first date is due to take place in Colombia on April 25, with shows planned in Europe and North America later in the year.
