Harry Styles on One Direction: "We're not breaking up… It's just holidays"

Following Liam Payne’s revelation at the BRIT Awards earlier this week that he had not seen his One Direction band mates for three months, Harry Styles has given more details about the group’s decision to take some time off.

In an interview with The Sun Harry explained that although the band have been taking a break they are all in regular contact but needed to spend time with their families.

The ‘Midnight Memories’ singer stated: “We’re not breaking up. We’ve spent every day together for months and I forgot what my mum looked like. It’s just holidays.”

He continued: “We have been writing away for the next album and rehearsals are just about to start soon for the tour. We’re not splitting up. We’re on WhatsApp messaging each other all the time, talking about song ideas and just funny stuff from our day.”

Harry concluded: “I miss the boys but if you don’t see your family you would go mad.”

Liam Payne backed up Harry’s statements by joking about the band appearing on ITV2’s show 'The Big Reunion' which brings together members of defunct pop bands.

Liam laughed: “We don’t want to be on The Big Reunion next year. We don’t want to be on The Big Reunion ever. Well, maybe in 2050.”
