Man jailed for threatening to blow up One Direction concert

A man has been jailed for eight months for threatening to explode a bomb at a One Direction concert in America.

47-year-old William H Klein worried officials by calling up the Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania in July last year.

He said: "If One Direction plays tomorrow, the stadium will blow up."

However, Klein's call was traced to a payphone and the man was later identified by CCTV.

Court heard that the man had promised to get his daughters tickets to the gig, before it all fell through - leaving Klein distraught.

As a result of the threat, the gig - which went ahead as planned - saw the audience subject to stringent security checks.
