One Direction star Niall Horan has revealed that he is concerned about being imprisoned in his hotel on the band's upcoming South America tour.

The group are due to hit the continent from April onwards for the first leg of their Where We Are world stadium tour.

The band have previously admitted that they are often resigned to staying in their hotels because too many fans crowd the building.

It looks like it could be the case on their upcoming tour, with Niall Horan tweeting:

"Hope I don't get stuck in the hotel in South America! would love t have a look around, doubt it though! (sic)"

The Irishman meanwhile revealed last year that he doesn't like people crowding around him:

"I'm quite claustrophobic and I don't like everyone crowding around and shouting the same questions. I get a little bit scared sometimes. It's all good as we've got a good security team."
