Liam Payne reckons that he is the shyest member of One Direction.

The singer often cuts a confident figure in front of the camera, but he told Top of the Pops magazine that he isn't too good at socialising.

His bandmate Zayn Malik is often regarded as the 'quiet' one of the band - but when asked who is the shyest member of One Direction, Payne said:

"I'd say I was. Although it doesn't look like it when there are cameras around, 'cos I will be out there a little bit.

"But when people ask for photos and stuff like that, I'm honestly not very good with it all. I haven't got the confidence. And I'd never go up to anyone asking for their autograph, no way!"

One Direction meanwhile are due to start their Where We Are world tour on April 25 in Colombia.
