Parkinson's charity experiences "crazy" Twitter activity after Harry Styles support

A Parkinson's charity is experiencing the One Direction effect after Harry Styles tweeted his support for them.

Parkinson's UK is currently hosting their Parkinson's Awareness Week 2014, which runs from Monday (April 7) to Sunday (April 13).

The condition is a 'a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system characterised by tremor and impaired muscular coordination'.

Harry Styles showed his support for the cause by tweeting his support of the Awareness Week today (April 7) - and this has sent the charity into a spin.

They tweeted the singer: "Thanks for your support and the tweet Harry - much appreciated.

"Our tweetdeck has gone somewhat crazy following @Harry_Styles' tweet for Parkinson's Awareness Week."

The charity added a screenshot of the tweet only fifteen minutes after Styles sent it as it racked up thousands of retweets.
