One Direction have revealed that they will release 'You & I' as their next single.

The boyband issued a video today (April 11) to tell their fans about the new release.

The tune will be the fourth cut to be taken from their 2013 album 'Midnight Memories' as they follow on from 'Best Song Ever', 'Story of My Life' and the record's title track.

The single will be available to pre-order from Monday (April 14) before going on sale from May 25.

One Direction meanwhile are currently preparing to head out on the road once again.

The lads will embark on their Where We Are world stadium tour from April 25 as they travel across South America, North America and Europe.

Harry Styles meanwhile recently tweeted: "Tour nearly ready.. Looking forward to getting on the road."
