One Direction send flowers and message to funeral of fan killed by falling wall

One Direction sent flowers to the funeral of a fan who was tragically crushed to death by a wall.

12-year-old Keane Wallis-Bennett's life was cut short when a partition wall fell on her at Liberton High School in Edinburgh earlier this month.

Her funeral was held recently in Edinburgh and One Direction surprised onlookers by sending flowers and a message.

Wallis-Bennett was due to see the band in concert later this year.

The band's note read: "It makes us extremely proud to have had a fan as special as Keane. We have all been deeply saddened by what has happened. We understand that no words can console those who knew her. We are thinking of her [as] are all of you.

"We are honoured to have brought her happiness in any way, she will be greatly missed. With all the love in the world. Liam, Harry, Zayn, Louis and Niall."
