One Direction warn fans about counterfeit tickets

One Direction have told their fans to be aware of counterfeit gig tickets.

The band are due to embark on their massive Where We Are world stadium tour from Friday (April 25).

However, the group's team have become aware of fake tickets doing the rounds.

They posted on the official One Direction website that fans shouldn't purchase tickets from third party websites as it cannot be guaranteed that they are real.

The message reads: "We have been made aware that some fans have purchased tickets from unofficial/counterfeit (fake) sellers. Please only purchase tickets from www.ticketmaster.com or the venue’s actual ticketing site. Do not buy tickets from any third party sites as we can not guarantee that these tickets are legitimate.

"Please note that you will not be permitted in the venue with counterfeit tickets even if you are unaware that your tickets are counterfeit, or did not intend to purchase or use counterfeit tickets. If you’re worried about your tickets or have any questions, please e-mail: onedirectiontickets@caa.com."

After playing in South America, One Direction will visit Europe in May, June and July before heading to North America.
