One Direction kick off their 'Where We Are' world tour

One Direction played the debut show of their ‘Where We Are’ world tour last night (April 25).

The ‘You & I’ boy band kicked off their latest live jaunt in front of a sold out audience of 40,000 fans at the El Campin Stadium in Bogota, Colombia.

Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan played a set of 23 songs with ‘Midnight Memories’ serving as the opener and ‘Best Song Ever’ bringing the show to a close. They also played all of their biggest hits such as ‘Kiss You’, ‘Live While We’re Young’ and ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.

Antics the boys got up to on the night included Harry forgetting his solo during ‘One Thing’, Louis temporarily leaving the stage to use the bathroom and Niall grabbing his crotch (see video below).

Despite a live stream of the entire show being made available online many experienced technical issues with the site Livestream.com and had to watch videos being posted on Vine by Directioners in attendance at the show instead.

The boys took to Twitter after the gig ended to share their thoughts on the night. Harry tweeted: “Columbia [sic], thank you so much. You were the perfect way to start a tour. It's been a while and you were incredible.” Whilst Niall said: “Bogota! That was incredible! Thank you so much! loved every second of it”.

One Direction’s ‘Where We Are’ world tour continues tomorrow (April 27) at Peru’s National Stadium. After the South American leg of the tour the boys will visit Europe and North America.
