One Direction finish South American leg of Where We Are tour: 'It was incredible'

The heartthrobs of One Direction have finished the South American jaunt of their Where We Are world tour and posted a message to their fans to tell them what a fantastic experience it was.

The lads shared a photograph, which can be seen to the left, via their official Instagram page earlier today (May 12) and admitted that travelling around the country and performing for fans there was unforgettable: "South America - you've been incredible! Next stop is Ireland!"

Now that the South American leg is over, the 'Story Of My Life' superstar will enjoy a brief break before heading to Dublin on May 23 to kick off the Irish run at Croke Park. Following the dates in Ireland, One Direction will play shows in London, Manchester, Sunderland, and Edinburgh throughout late May and early June.

Last week, member Niall Horan explained that while being able to see the world is amazing, it's a shame they don't have more free time around their concerts because they rarely get to explore the cities they visit properly: "Would love to have a look around rio! Doubt it will happen to be fair haha! #tourlife."

Morgan Spurlock, the director of the boys' debut movie 'This Is Us', has just confirmed that a second film is in the works and Ben Winston has been shooting potential footage for it during their shows in South America: "Yes, there will be a follow-up to 'This Is Us'. At this moment Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens."
