Niall Horan arrives at Croke Park ahead of home concert: 'The stage is like an ice rink'

Later tonight (May 23), the One Direction lads will perform a concert at Dublin's Croke Park and Irish member Niall Horan is especially excited about the set because it's a home show for him.

The 'Story Of My Life' hitmaker took to his official Twitter page this afternoon and admitted that he can't wait for the gig to kick off, but was shocked to discover how slippery the stadium's stage was when he walked out on it for the first time:

"We are in! this is it! CROKE PARK ! Woohoo!! Hope the rain goes away, the stage is like an ice rink, slippy! As I just found out haha."

Horan's older brother, Greg, recently spoke to Spin 103.8 radio about Niall's incredible achievements as a member of the group and admitted that proud doesn't even cut it: "Everyone's proud. There's no way to describe how proud we are of him."

Managers at the venue took to Croke Park's official Twitter page earlier and shared a photograph of the stage set-up, which can be seen above left, and added: "The scene is set...#OneDirection."
