Niall Horan on playing Irish show tonight: 'It won't feel real until I'm standing on that stage'

One Direction will play an exciting headlining show later tonight (May 23) at Dublin's Croke Park and member Niall Horan has confessed that he can't believe it because playing a home show of that size is incredibly overwhelming.

Speaking to former Westlife singer Nicky Byrne on 'The Nicky Byrne Show', Mullingar native Horan admitted that it's nothing short of a dream come true to perform at Croke Park:

"It's here, finally, we've been waiting for a while for this, it's a big dream of all of ours to play Croke Park, and it's finally happening, the boys are on their way."

When asked what Irish crowds have been like for One Direction in the past, the 'Story Of My Life' heartthrob said that they're always amazing:

"Yeah it's going to be unbelievable... Everyone knows how great these Irish crowds are, even within our crew, it's all we've been talking about, the Croke Park gigs, we're doing a world tour and it's the biggest show on the tour, we're so excited about it."

Horan went onto add that it still doesn't seem real and he doesn't think it will sink in until the lights go down and he steps out on stage with the other lads: "It was kinda strange because I woke up and I didn't really know what to feel, it won't be real until I get there, I'm heading there for sound check now, it's one of those that won't get real until I'm standing there on the stage."
