Niall Horan reflects on rise to fame after playing Ireland stadium shows

One Direction singer Niall Horan has taken time to reflect on his road to stardom after playing three stadium shows in his home country.

The Mullingar man is never shy to promote his love of his country Ireland and his band played three massive gigs at Dublin's Croke Park at the weekend.

The singer auditioned for the 2010 UK X Factor at the same venue and the concerts marked a celebration of Horan's rise to fame.

The Irishman took to Twitter today (May 26) to say alongside a photo of himself standing in Croke Park:

"4 years ago I stood there and auditioned for the Xfactor, can't believe we just played 3 nights in that stadium!"

Horan later added: "Thank you all so much for an incredible weekend! Can guarantee I won't be forgetting this one! Thank you Ireland!"
