One Direction's hair stylist has opened up about how she keeps the band's locks in top condition.

Lou Teasdale regularly goes out on tour with the boyband to ensure that they are looking their best every night.

Speaking to People, the stylist said that she tries to keep it simple when it comes to using products to style the lads' hair.

She said: "I like to keep the products simple on the boys. I try to use two products on each boy - one styling product and one finishing product so that I don’t end up piling more and more product in and it looks too 'done'."

Teasdale added that she gets a kick out of finding the right product to use:

"I'm also buzzing when I find a product that I use on, like, three out of five boys. Then it’s less to carry around."

One Direction meanwhile are currently on tour in Europe on their Where We are stadium jaunt.
