Louis Tomlinson expected to complete takeover of Doncaster Rovers soonOne Direction singer Louis Tomlinson is set to become co-chairman of Doncaster Rovers next Wednesday (June 11). The singer, who has previously played for the team's reserves side for charity, is part of a group trying to buy the League One club. It had been reported that the deal would be announced at 6pm today (June 6) - but this has been postponed. The BBC report that a deal has been reached in principal, but the hold-up is down to Tomlinson's management group negotiating his image rights. The singer is expected to become a co-chairman in a silent partner capacity, with former boss John Ryan assuming full-time responsibility. The team are currently managed by Paul Dickov and they were relegated to League One from the Championship at the end of last season. Watch Louis Tomlinson play football below:
