A rep for One Direction has dismissed speculation that Harry Styles will release solo music.

The rumour regularly rears its head and it did so again recently after Kodaline suggested that a track they wrote with Styles could be used on the singer's possible solo album.

However, a spokesperson for One Direction told E! that there are no plans for the heartthrob singer to go it alone.

They said: "There are no plans for Harry to release any solo music at this time, any writing that he is doing is for potential One Direction songs. It's common knowledge that the boys write separately and bring to each other for the album."

It was confirmed recently that Styles has written the song 'A Little Bit of Your Heart' for Ariana Grande's upcoming second album 'My Everything'.

The record will be released on August 25.
