Liam Payne to fans: 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'

One Direction heartthrob Liam Payne has called for fans to stop criticising each other on social networking sites because having access to the Internet doesn't give you a free pass to 'write horrible stuff about people'.

Writing on his official Twitter page over the weekend, the 'Little Things' heartthrob explained that it's important to be mindful of people's feelings and to not just get online and slam strangers for no particular reason because that is a mean thing to do:

"If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all tbh I don't have time for people being outright nasty for no reason... Just because you have a twitter doesn't give u a free ticket to write horrible stuff about people."

"I see it on here everyday people writing vicious things about each other wish we could all just be nice to each other and get along. Morning everyone, please don't be sending hate to people that's never what I want to sit here and watch arguments all day so let's calm down."

Last week, Payne told his 17.3 million Twitter followers that he and the rest of the 1D lads still have such a strong bond and enjoy performing together: "Great show tonight really enjoyed it :) love that after so many years together we can still have a laugh on stage love my boys man."
