A rep for One Direction's Zayn Malik has denied the singer and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards have married.

The celebrity couple announced their engagement in 2013, but no wedding date has been yet been announced.

Talk of a quick-fire ceremony reared its head recently after Malik posted online a photo of himself wearing a ring.

A rep, however, told the Daily Mail that the item of jewellery is just his engagement ring.

They said: "Perrie and Zayn are not married. The picture shows his engagement ring."

The couple have been together since 2011 - the year when Little Mix won the UK X Factor.
