One Direction: 'We're family, not friends'

International superstars One Direction recently spoke to Top Of The Pops magazine about how close they have become and described their relationship as being closer than just friends.

Heartthrob Louis Tomlinson explained that they've gone beyond being friends and are more like brothers now after spending so much time together: "I think 'family' is probably the best way of describing us. It's different to friendship."

Irish member Niall Horan added that the constant rumours that suggest they might split are proven untrue by their bond because they wouldn't book tours if they didn't get along: "Yeah, we spend a good time on the road, and, obviously it's so important that we all get along or it won't work."

Harry Styles also opened up about the relationships they all have with each other, admitting that he has never known friends like Niall, Louis, Zayn, and Liam:

"There could have easily been one person who didn't get along with anyone; who nobody liked, but it wasn't like that. The relationship that's grown with these four boys that I didn't even know three years ago is absolutely insane and it's incredible. I'm very lucky that I get to spend so much time with them."
