The parents of One Direction heartthrobs Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have spoken out about their sons' success on the fourth anniversary of the boyband's incredible career. 

Newly married Johannah Deakin, mother of Louis Tomlinson, took to her official Twitter page earlier this afternoon and wrote: "4 years today I got the call....... Mum, they have put me in a band! xxx"

Harry Styles' mum, Anne, simply posted a quote from her son that he said during the 'X Factor' finals, which she accompanied with a photo of a newspaper clipping (shown above left): "'Mum, I didn't get through... Kidding!!'"

Des Styles, Harry's father, tweeted that he can't believe how far the boys have come and thanked Nicole Scherzinger for working with them at the beginning: "Quite some four years, April since auditions and now since they were thrown together, a lot to do with Nicole Scherzinger? Thanks Nicole!! X"
