One Direction have teased fans by confirming that they will reveal something today (August 5).

The band's official Twitter account posted on Monday (August 4) a cryptic image with the date '05.08.2014' plastered on it.

They wrote: "Something’s coming tomorrow…"

Fans have speculated that it could be related to a perfume or perhaps new music.

The band meanwhile are currently on tour in North America and their next date is due to take place at East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium tonight.

Australian act 5 Seconds of Summer are providing support on the run.

Following the North America jaunt, One Direction are then scheduled to visit Australia in February next year.
