Last night, One Direction teased fans by confirming that they planned to make an announcement today (August 5) and have spent this morning sharing clues with their followers. 

A series of cryptic photographs were uploaded to Twitter by the heartthrobs and member Niall Horan has now shared the exciting news with their Directioners around the world. He wrote:

"Hello everyone it's Niall! At the fragrance launch for You & I. Big day! The commercial is coming out today! So keep eyes peeled."

Back in June, member Liam Payne posted a video message in which he explained details about the boys' new fragrance, called 'You & I': "It's coming out later this summer and it's called You & I. We've worked really hard on it - we tried to find a scent that we all like and we worked really hard on the design of the packaging and bottle as well."

Horan also treated fans to a glimpse of the bottle for the new scent in July, tweeting a picture of himself holding it (shown above left).
