Salons enjoy 200% rise in male hair extension sales as men look to copy Harry Styles

Hair salons are enjoying a boost in sales of male extensions as a result of celebrities like Harry Styles.

The One Direction man is famous for his flowing locks that are often placed into a quiff.

It seems men are eager to copy his style, with the Daily Mail reportedly that salons have seen a 200% rise in sales of male hair extensions.

They cite other celebrities such as David Beckham and Oliver Cheshire as men look to add volume and length to their hair to make quiffs.

London hair salon Paul Edmonds confirmed that they have seen a big increase in males who ask for "micro bond extensions".

Joel Silverman, senior stylist at the Jo Hansford salon, meanwhile added: "Hair extensions are popular to use as a temporary fix for TV and films, and although we haven’t really noticed this carry through to our salon clients, we have seen an increase in male clients enquiring about hair thickening treatments and shampoos."
