One Direction star Zayn Malik says screaming from fans has often infiltrated his dreams.

The band regularly have groups of over-zealous fans waiting outside of their hotels when on tour.

It seems their noise has often crept into the singers' dreams when they are getting off to sleep.

Zayn Malik told Top of the Pops magazine: "Sometimes, when you're still in a dream state - when you're asleep but just starting to wake - you have some of the weirdest dreams ever because the fans' screams become part of your dream."

Harry Styles added: "I always get shot in my dreams."

Bandmate Louis Tomlinson added: "Yeah, but apparently you can never die in your dreams. Have you ever died in your dreams? No."

One Direction meanwhile are currently travelling North America as part of their world Where We Are stadium tour.
