British children find Harry Styles more recognisable than David Cameron

Harry Styles is more recognisable to British children than Prime Minister David Cameron.

Internet service provider Plusnet recently ran a poll to find who eight to 17 year-old-olds in Britain can recognise.

US President Barack Obama was recognised by the most amount of children in the poll.

One Direction man Harry Styles was second on the list - with 5% more kids recognising him than Britain's political leader David Cameron.

Top Gear's Richard Hammond and Styles' One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik completed the top five.

Plusnet's Head of Products Kelly Dorset commented on the findings:

"The fact that our children recognise figures such as Harry Styles and Barack Obama ahead of our own politicians clearly signifies how important a social presence is to tap into the nation's consciousness."
