Miley Cyrus has come top in a poll of ladies One Direction fans would like to see date Harry Styles.

Fans of the group were recently asked to name who they think their idol should go out with.

US star Miley Cyrus, who split from fiance Liam Hemsworth in September last year, ultimately topped the list.

She beat off competition from Selena Gomez and Katy Perry to top the poll.

The 'Wrecking Ball' star meanwhile uploaded a photo of herself in 2013 cuddling up to a Harry Styles cardboard cut-out in bed.

She wrote at the time: "In no way do I want Harry. No offense. I'm sure that'll be a story now 2. I'm happily engaged. Just got saucy with a cardboard cut out."
