One Direction feel 'not worthy' of playing stadiums like Wembley

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has admitted that he sometimes wonders how the band gets to play iconic stadium venues.

The group formed on the 2010 series of the UK X Factor and four years later they have been touring the world's stadiums as part of their Where We Are run.

They headlined London's Wembley Stadium over three nights in June and Tomlinson told The Sun that he almost feels undeserving of the booking.

The singer said: "I feel like we've blagged it again. You look at the names of who's played at Wembley and you almost feel like you're not worthy of it. We just feel like we're just little scumbags.

"For people like us to be playing stadiums, it's just the biggest thing in the world."

One Direction are now touring stadiums in North America after a successful run in Europe.
