One Direction have revealed details about their next album.

The British-Irish boyband will unleash 'FOUR' on November 17 as the follow-up to their third record, 2013's 'Midnight Memories'.

The record will be preceded by the song 'Fireproof', which will be available to download for free from today (September 8) for 24 hours via the band's official website.

The tune was written by Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne in collaboration with John Ryan, Jamie Scott and Julian Bunetta.

The same group of writers helped to pen One Direction's hit track 'Story of My Life'.

The release of 'FOUR' meanwhile continues the band's trend of releasing a new album each year.

In 2011 the quintet unleashed their debut 'Up All Night', with 'Take Me Home' following in 2012.
