Liam Payne says One Direction have put a great amount of work into their new album.

As previously reported, the British-Irish boyband today (September 8) revealed that they would be releasing their new record 'FOUR' on November 17.

They have offered a free download of the track 'Fireproof' via their official website for 24 hours.

Tweeting about the news, Payne took to Twitter to say that the group have put a lot of effort into their fourth album.

He said: "Our new album is called FOUR! We've been working so hard on this…so glad we can share it with you!!!"

Bandmate Niall Horan meanwhile added: "Guys! Really excited to announce our new album is called FOUR!!"

The record will follow up their 2013 album 'Midnight Memories'.
