A rep for One Direction has revealed that Liam Payne hurt his arm whilst working out.

The singer was recently pictured with friends wearing a large cast on one of his limbs.

This caused fans to express their concern on Twitter, but a rep for the band told the Daily Mail that the injury occurred whilst the Brit was "training".

This denies the newspaper's assertions that the injury was actually sustained whilst Payne was breakdancing at Niall Horan's recent 21st birthday bash.

One Direction meanwhile recently confirmed the identity of their next single.

The lads will release 'Steal My Girl' on October 12 as the first official single from new album 'FOUR', which will land on November 17.
