Niall Horan admits he nearly vomits with nerves before performing on TV

One Direction star Niall Horan has revealed that he gets so nervous before appearing on TV shows that he nearly vomits.

The boyband have become one of the hottest properties in music since forming on the 2010 and they have a gruelling live schedule.

However, it seems performing live on TV shows is something that Irishman Horan still hasn't come to terms with.

He said in an extract from the group's upcoming book One Direction: Who We Are:

"You never come home from a 1D show and say it was quiet. It's the loudest show on the planet. But oddly enough, if I'm honest, going to perform on a TV show is when I get the most nervous. In fact, I get so tense I'm often close to puking."

Horan meanwhile added that he was also close to vomiting when meeting Justin Timberlake at the 2013 American Music Awards:

"Before we went out, Justin Timberlake was coming off after collecting an award and I remember saying to the lads, 'Is that the calibre of people here?'. To make matters worse, as he walked off Justin came over to say hello and I was bricking it, nearly swallowing my own puke. I was fine in the end, but it's draining being that nervous."

One Direction: Who We Are meanwhile will be released in the UK on September 25.
