Niall Horan: 'I do my job, go home then mostly sit in my house'

Niall Horan has admitted that his private life isn't very interesting.

The singer is part of One Direction and as a result, his work is full of globe-trotting adventure and fame.

However, it seems the Irishman is more than happy to lock himself away at home when he does get rare time off.

Speaking in the band's new autiobiography Who We Are - which is releaed on September 25 - Horan said:

"I do my job, go home then mostly sit in my house. My day out is going to Tesco.

"I could go out every night but I’d rather pay £4 for a quiet pint up the road, watching Sky Sports."

Bandmate Louis Tomlinson meanwhile said in the same book that he was left frustrated during the opening phase of the band.

He said: "I'm the type of person who likes being the centre of attention. For the whole of The X Factor I didn't have a solo which, for me, was a tough pill to swallow. I was delighted but at the same time, couldn't really understand why I was in the band. That was really low, that feeling of not having a purpose, of just being along for the ride."
