Niall Horan and Liam Payne on fan gatherings: 'We should be able to get out of our hotels'

The members of One Direction are currently wrapping up their Where We Are tour, which is due to end on October 5 in Miami, and they've revealed that sometimes they get overwhelmed by the swarms of fans outside of their hotels and it's hard to know they can't really leave and walk around without everything getting crazy.

Superstar Niall Horan recently shared a photograph of himself pulling faces with bandmate Liam Payne (shown left) and accompanied it with a caption that revealed just how stressful being holed up in a hotel can be when you know it'll be manic if you try to leave.

The 'Story Of My Life' singer explained that cabin fever is a real struggle: "We're gone mad! This is why we should be able to get out of hotels Hahahah. Aghhhhhhh!!!"

Horan then uploaded a video, which can be seen below, and it shows heartthrob Payne pacing around the room talking about the extreme boredom he feels in situations like that. Horan asks him how he spent the day and he replies:

"I'm going to walk like this for the rest of the day. I'm just bored, Niall. Absolutely nothing, Niall."

The lads, meanwhile, opened up to OK! magazine about how lonely touring can be and Louis Tomlinson admitted that there's something 'empty' about sitting in a hotel room by yourself: “The tour bus is a little escape, that little back lounge we sit in. Hotel rooms can often be lonely. It's just an easier way to deal with it all.” Liam Payne added: “Being away from home is a huge downside of touring. You miss your family and friends.”
