Niall Horan has asked for Jessie J's hand in marriage.

The singer watched the British talent perform her hit song 'Bang Bang' on the X Factor on Sunday (October 19) and it seems Horan was left impressed.

The Irishman took to Twitter to exclaim: "@JessieJ marry me!"

The 'Sweet Talker' star, however, has yet to respond to Horan's advances.

It was almost one year to the day after the One Direction man asked Katy Perry the same thing after she also performed on the X Factor.

He wrote at the time after she called him "cute": "I love you @katyperry! Thank you! Ps. Will u marry me?"

US star Perry similarly did not respond to Horan's proposal.
