One Direction's Louis Tomlinson admits band were 'naive' to prospect of global fame

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson says the group were "naive' to potential global fame when they started the group.

The five singers were pieced together from solo contestants on the UK X Factor in 2010 and they have since achieved massive worldwide fame.

Speaking to ITV's Loose Women in a new interview, Tomlinson admitted that the group only initially had the UK in mind when thinking about potential markets.

He said: "We were so naive to the process - we were kind of thinking strictly just the UK. And then all of a sudden it took off in different countries. We could never have braced ourselves for it, obviously. It's incredible."

When asked if the lifestyle is everything they hoped it would be, Zayn Malik said:

"I don't think you could ever think it was something, because what you're actually confronted with is nothing like what you thought it was going to be like."

One Direction meanwhile release their new album 'FOUR' on November 17.
