Niall Horan wants Lauren Platt to win 'The X Factor': 'She's really sweet and I really like her'

One Direction superstar Niall Horan has revealed who he wants to win this year's series of 'The X Factor'.

During a new interview with 'This Morning', the Irish heartthrob confessed that he has a soft spot for contestant Lauren Platt and hopes that she will finish in first place on the popular TV vocal talent competition:

"I think Andrea is going to win it, but my favourite is Lauren, I really like her - she is really sweet. Yeah, I'd like to see Lauren win it… but there’s great contestants this year.”

Platt, meanwhile, recently told OK! magazine that she has Horan's phone number and admitted that she hopes they can become friends so they can hang out together:

"We met Louis and Niall from One Direction but they weren't flirty. In fact I've got a link to Niall, so he knew who I was already. My best friend's dad is One Direction's photographer. I've got Niall's number - I think me, him and my best friend are going to meet up."
