One Direction were one of the big winners at this year's MTV EMAs.

The awards ceremony took place on Sunday (November 9) at Glasgow's Hydro arena.

The event, which was hosted by Nicki Minaj, saw One Direction bag three prizes on the night.

They won the Best Pop, Best Live and Biggest Fans gongs, but they were without an ill Zayn Malik.

Other winners on night included Minaj, who won the Best Hip-Hop award, and Justin Bieber, who was honoured with Best Male and Best Canadian Act.

5 Seconds of Summer pocketed the Best New gong, whilst Fifth Harmony were crowned Best US Act.
