One Direction have been confirmed to perform at EastEnders' Albert Square.

The boyband will run through upcoming single 'Night Changes' and current effort 'Steal My Girl' for the BBC Children in Need show on Friday (November 14).

They will be situated on the Albert Square bridge and will perform to an audience below.

Commenting on the news, One Direction said in a statement:

"We are thrilled to be performing on BBC Children in Need again this year. It's a charity that we hold very close to our hearts and we are really excited about our special performance in the iconic EastEnders Albert Square."

Other music acts meanwhile due to perform on Children In Need include a reunited S Club 7, The Script and Susan Boyle.
