One Direction themed rollercoaster to open in honour of new album

A rollercoaster at Orlando's Universal resort will be One Direction themed for two days in honour of the band's new album release.

The group are unleashing 'FOUR' on November 17 and a series of new promotional activities have been announced.

On November 17 and 18, the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit rollercoaster at the Universal Orlando Resort will have One Direction music, whilst the Universal Cinematic Spectacular night-time show will be in honour of the group.

The lads will also perform at the resort's CityWalk on November 17 for the Today Show, whilst they will play a private show for competition winners at the Universal Studios Florida Music Plaza stage a day later.

Guests staying at Universal Orlando’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort meanwhile will get the chance to attend a 'FOUR' listening party on November 16.

They will also be able to sign up to hear exclusive wake-up calls from the band members.

The news comes in conjunction with the announcement of a One Direction TV special on NBC on December 23.
