Zayn Malik has joked that One Direction's future will be bristling with facial hair.

The lads sat down recently with MTV for an interview and they spoke about how their body hair has grown since they became famous.

Speaking about what fans can expect from the group in the future, Malik said:

"Hopefully some more facial hair."

Bandmate Louis Tomlinson replied: "You've got loads now, if you get any more it could be crazy."

Malik added: "But I haven't got any chest hair yet so for me, I just need a bit of chest hair."

His bandmate then responded: "You've got that to look forward to. There's some real promising stuff coming from this band."

One Direction's new album 'FOUR' meanwhile will be released on November 17.
