One Direction star Harry Styles has brushed off rumours about him sending Taylor Swift nearly 2,000 roses to celebrate her new album.

The US star released her latest effort '1989' recently and it has become a global success.

Gossip has emerged that former flame Styles sent her 1,989 roses to commemorate the new album release.

The Brit was quizzed on the rumours whilst appearing on the Ellen Show this week, with Styles saying:

"I know about the rumour, but I don't know anything about the roses.

"It might have been someone else, and I might have gotten the credit for it."

The band's appearance meanwhile on the show saw Zayn Malik return to the fold after missing out some duties due to illness.
