One Direction: 'People think of us as crabs - we just stay in all the time and come out for work'

The boyband One Direction appeared on 'The Ellen Show' earlier today (November 21) and opened up about walking around in public and trying to live 'normal lives'.

When asked by DeGeneres if they're able to walk around without being noticed, the heartthrobs admitted that they try to keep a low profile and for the most part it really works:

"I mean, we do... everywhere. We try to. I think people think of us as, like, crabs - stay in and then just come out and work. The thing is with a disguise, it's far too embarrassing if you're caught wearing a disguise."

The lads also spoke briefly about Zayn Malik's engagement to Perrie Edwards, of Little Mix fame, and he confessed that while he is set to wed the blonde bombshell, they haven't made any solid plans: "I'm engaged... I've had a few questions about plans for the marriage, but there are none yet."

On December 20, meanwhile, the 'Night Changes' superstars will be the musical guests on 'Saturday Night Live' and the episode is set to be hosted by Hollywood beauty Amy Adams.
