One Direction: 'To have our music heard worldwide is amazing'

'Steal My Girl' hitmakers are enjoying incredible success around the world and singer Harry Styles has revealed that it's overwhelming that their music is known internationally.

During a new backstage interview from the 2014 AMAs with Billboard magazine, the heartthrobs were asked to discuss their success in America as a UK-based boyband and Styles explained that it's amazing people know who they are across the pond: "We’re not from America, so to have our music heard here is amazing, so for the people to like it enough to go out and buy it is great.”

Liam Payne also talked about their new album, 'FOUR', and added that its immediate popularity along with good reviews have proven to be very rewarding as they put their hearts and souls into the record: "For us, it’s amazing because we worked so hard on this album, with the writing and stuff, and it’s gone great! We smashed it."

Member Payne went onto conclude that they have a busy year ahead and can't wait to return to the USA: "It would feel weird if we didn’t have our whole year planned out for us over and over again. We just look forward to coming back here in 2015. It’s gonna be amazing. We can’t wait to see the fans again."

The boyband, meanwhile, just passed the one billion streams mark on Spotify and they are only the second British-based group to have achieved the feat after Coldplay.
