One Direction star Harry Styles gave Emma Watson's gender equality project He For She a boost at the British Fashion Awards.

The singer presented the actress with the British Style Award at the event in London on Monday (December 1).

It seems the 'You & I' man had some words of encouragement for Watson on stage, with the Harry Potter star saying in her speech:

"Harry Styles just said the words, ‘He For She,’ so that’s really cool."

Watson launched the gender equality drive He For She during a UN speech earlier this year.

Styles was on hand to present the award after winning it last year.

He mingled with the likes of Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner at the glitzy event.
