At the time, the lads described the concert as a dream come true and Niall Horan tweeted that it was the best night of his life: "Wow, madison square garden, thank you soo much! It was the best night of our lives! Thank you thank you thank you! #1DinMSG."

Now, Harry Styles has taken to his official Twitter page to thank fans for their continued support and for giving them such incredible memories: "It's been two years since our show at MSG, thank you for all your support that got us there. And everything you've done since. All the love."

One Direction, meanwhile, have announced details of a full UK and Ireland tour that will see them visit places such as Cardiff, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Belfast, Newcastle, Sheffield and Dublin. Tickets are due to go on sale next Saturday (December 6) at 9am (GMT).
