Boyband One Direction performed their new single 'Steal My Girl' on 'Swedish Idol' this evening and member Liam Payne has revealed that it was a lot of fun. 

The heartthrob took to his official Twitter page earlier tonight (December 5) and told his followers that he really enjoyed the performance because the rest of the day had been very dull so it was good to kick things up a notch:

"Great show in Sweden what an amazing crowd thank you so much :) It was great because today has been a really boring day and now it's not."

'Swedish Idol' has been in the Top 10 worldwide trending topics list on Twitter for a while now and fans have been praising their rendition of the song, with one writing to member Niall Horan: "You were amazing tonight. I loved it, my whole family loved it."

The lads, meanwhile, recently spoke out about their international appeal and told Billboard that knowing they have fans all over the world is amazing: "We’re not from America, so to have our music heard here is amazing, so for the people to like it enough to go out and buy it is great.”
