It was recently confirmed that boyband One Direction will be performing at the live 'X Factor' final this weekend and music mogul Simon Cowell has teased that they're planning something very exciting for the slot. 

There was a press conference for the impending live finals earlier today (December 11) in London and official Twitter account for 'The X Factor' shared a quote from Cowell about the lads' return to the show's stage. He explained that the 'Story Of My Life' heartthrobs will pull out all the stops:

"@SimonCowell: I was talking to the @onedirection guys and they've planned something special...but I don't want to give anything away."

'The X Factor' live final will air on ITV at 8.30pm on Saturday (December 13) and 8pm on Sunday (December 14). Other performers for both the Saturday and Sunday night broadcasts include Take That, Olly Murs and vocal sensation Sam Smith.
