One Direction have given X Factor wannabe Fleur East a boost ahead of the show's final.

The TV talent show is due to wrap up this weekend and East is a favourite to win.

Speaking at the BBC Music Awards on Thursday (December 11), One Direction's Liam Payne and Niall Horan expressed their admiration for East's recent performance of Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk'.

Horan said: "I think what Fleur just did at the weekend was pretty special, so I'm gonna put that up there as one of my favourites."

Payne added: "That was a huge performance. You don't often see people doing a bit of boogying on X Factor and it was very well-structured boogying. It was amazing. I might be bring out a few 80s-style dance moves [this weekend]."

East meanwhile will battle against Andrea Faustini and Ben Haenow in the final.
